NZ Secondary Students' Choir In Concert

NZ Secondary Students' Choir In Concert

The NZSSC, the national choir for secondary aged students, returns to Napier for a one-off concert on Saturday January 20.

Repertoire will include a wide range of styles presented with the youthful excellence for which this choir is known: "From the outset the presentation was immaculate and professional, to the highest standard. After all, these were our young people at their best".

(Marion Davidson, River City Press, January 2016.) This internationally acclaimed youth choir of 57 singers is nationally auditioned and gathers every school holidays for intensive rehearsals and for performances throughout the country.

The choir travels to represent New Zealand overseas every second year and next year we travel to Hong Kong and Shanghai. The choir currently includes two Hawkes Bay singers (Sam Harris from Central Hawkes Bay College and Amelia Foster at Woodford House).
