Central Hawke’s Bay District Council does not have an explicit privacy policy. Council is covered by the Privacy Act 2020 and its subsequent amendments. The Privacy Act sets out 12 basic principles covering the collection, retention, use and disclosure of personal information. 

You can request access to the information an organisation holds about you. This request can be either verbal or in writing. Your use of this website and your privacy

We do not collect information about you or anything that may identify you during your visit to this website with the exception of your use of our online forms. If you provide any personal information in an online form, we will only use that information to contact you and will not provide that information to any other party without your permission. The exception to this is when you make a formal submission to Council during consultation. Any contact details you may provide with your submission will be included in the resulting Council report which will be a public document.
