Although our Council office in Waipawa will be closed on Friday 25 October and Monday 28 October, you can still contact our Customer Service team on 06 857 8060 (24-hour service).

Closed Friday 25 October and Monday 28 October. Otherwise normal hours.

AA Services
Closed Friday and Monday.

Kerbside Collections
Recycling and rubbish collection as normal, place kerbside by 7.30 am
Only rigid plastics 1,2 and 5 are recyclable. For more information click here.

Transfer Stations
All Transfer Stations open normal hours.
FREE greenwaste disposal is available to Central Hawke's Bay Residents only at the following locations:

Sunday 27 October:
• Waipukurau 9 am-5 pm
• Pōrangahau 1-3 pm

Free disposal is for one ute load or standard-sized trailer of household greenwaste e.g. hedge, lawn clippings, garden weeds etc. No logs or tree stumps!

Rural Recycling Trailers
Operating as normal from 8 am to 4 pm. 
Friday 25 October - Sherwood School and Flemington School.
Monday 28 October - Elsthorpe Hall and Argyll Hall.

Mobile Employment Hubs
Closed on Friday and Monday.

Central Hawke's Bay Museum - FREE ENTRY
Closed on Friday 25 October and Monday 28 October. Otherwise normal hours (10-4 pm daily).
