Adopt your part of the Bay

If you’re part of a community group, family or business, or are an individual who wants to make a positive impact, consider registering as a ‘Tidy Kiwi Leader’. This involves taking responsibility for cleaning up or beautifying a local area or street in Central Hawke’s Bay between 16 - 30 September. You can organise a team of volunteers to participate in the event with you.

Once registered, Council can provide bags for litter removal, gloves, hi-vis gear, equipment to assist with litter collection and free disposal of the waste collected during the event. Please email Robert or Themba, or phone us on 06 857 8060 if you require resources or support.
