Roads, Streets and Weather Event Information

On this page you will find information about CHB's Roading network and any information regarding weather events that impact our roads

A large number of roads and bridges across the district have been impacted by Cyclone Gabrielle. Numerous roads remain closed and require significant repairs.

We know that these closures are creating significant disruption to our communities. We’ve been working hard to restore immediate access where we can, and since the 14 February we have restored access more than 72 roads that were initially closed. More detailed update of plans for restoring access to each of our currently affected routes are in progress. Please report any issues by phoning us on 06 857 8060 and for State Highway phone Waka Kotahi on 0800 108 809.

SOUTH SERVICE LANE CLOSURE

south service laneSouth Service Lane on the corner of Kitchener Street in Waipukurau will be closed from Monday 29 May until Saturday 3 June.

Our teams will be working to repair some cracked and lifted concrete which will take 1 week to set.

Entry to South Service Lane will be via Pōrangahau Road and traffic management will be in place.
