Wednesday 18 May 2022: FARM ROAD - ONE LANE

We are currently working on a slip that has pushed a retaining wall across one lane on Farm Road. Currently there is traffic management in place with one lane closed and reduced speeds.The safety of our road users, contractors and staff is paramount as we work to clear the debris and stabilise this section. Keep up to date with our progress on this page. Please report any issues across the network 24/7 by phoning our team on 06 857 8060.

All About CHB District's Roading Network:

The district's roading system provides accessibility to citizens and visitors within a safe, clean and aesthetic environment.

The services cover the provision and maintenance of the physical components; roads, footpaths, bridges and other structures (e.g. street furniture), lighting, drainage, traffic services and safety (signage) and street gardens, as well as the planning and management to ensure the system is clean, safe and able to cope with future needs.

Council's Road Asset consists of 1265 km of formed roads. Our services to you include:

  • the maintenance and construction of roads, pedestrian paths, accessways, steps and ramps.
  • the maintenance of the road reserve including mowing, sweeping, cleaning and weed spraying.
  • the maintenance of Traffic Services including signals, lighting, signs, roadmarking, road name plates and furniture.
