As winter draws near and our world is sometimes dark and turbulent, we bring you a celebration of the glory of new light - the Nata Lux. Composers and poets throughout the years have seen the need for optimism and hope, and their songs, such as Lux Aurumque, Hail Gladdening Light, The Call, I will Sing with the Spirit, This Little Light of Mine and others express so well the warmth and joy of light. The Waiapu Cathedral choir, directed by Anthony Tattersall, is gaining an enviable reputation for the excellent quality of its' singing. Several of the choir’s excellent solo voices will be heard in this concert, and Musical Director Anthony Tattersall will delight fans of the cathedral’s splendid organ with a rendition of the Nimrod theme from Elgar’s The Planets. Entry is just $20, under 14 years free, and all are welcome to come an enjoy this hour of beautiful music.
