How do you describe your role to family and friends?

That is build roads

What has been your favourite moment in your role so far?

Encouraging one of the young guys from the community to study engineering.

What is the most exciting aspect of working on the Porangahau and Wimbledon Rd Upgrade Project?

The beautiful scenery.

What is one thing about working on roading projects that people might not know?

It’s not always as straightforward as it looks.

What is something about your job or roading projects that you wish people knew?

It’s always good to be nice to the guys on the road, They do an amazing job to keep others safe.

What is one element of the Porangahau and Wimbledon Road Upgrade that you were/are most looking forward to completing?

Saleyards bridge, Looks like it’s going to be interesting.

What’s your go-to productivity trick?

Keep the workers happy.

If you could automate one part of your job, what would it be?

Stakeholder management, It’s always difficult keeping everybody happy.

What is one thing you couldn’t live without at work?

My morning coffee.

What’s your favourite thing to do outside of work?

Play soccer.

Best minute of your life so far?

When my daughter was born.

What is your favourite place or thing to do in Central Hawke’s Bay?

Wandering around the countryside.
