Central Hawke’s Bay is booming with strong population growth and increased property sales.
This growth is driven by our great people, heartfelt hospitality, and stunning landscapes which afford wonderful recreation opportunities.
Our vision is to harness this boom to increase visitors to the district, getting them to stay longer and do more while they visit.

Central Hawke’s Bay District Council and Hawke’s Bay Tourism are looking for an outstanding person to join our team as the Central Hawke’s Bay Tourism Coordinator.
This is an opportunity to help grow the value of tourism for the Central Hawke’s Bay Community.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in event management, destination marketing and tourism promotion who will come equipped with a positive attitude and energy.
They will have a keen understanding of the visitor environment and the ability to demonstrate how this understanding has been used to develop services, products or activities.

The role is 30 hours per week, principally based at the Central Hawke’s Bay District Council office in Waipawa, with time also spent at the Hawke’s Bay Tourism office in Napier.
