The Council office in Waipawa is closing on Thursday 28 March at 4.30pm and reopening on Tuesday 2 April at 8am.

Although our office will be closed, you can still contact our Customer Service team on 06 857 8060 (24-hour service).

  • Closed Friday 29 March and Monday 1 April
  • Libraries - open normal hours on Saturday 30 March

Kerbside Collections

Operating as normal. Collection on Monday 1 April for Waipukurau (Pink Zone), place kerbside by 7.30am

Only rigid plastics 1,2 and 5 are recyclable. For more information click here.

Transfer Stations

Waipukurau Transfer Station closed on Friday 29 March (Good Friday). Otherwise operating as normal.

Rural Recycling Trailers

No service on Friday 29 March for Sherwood School and Flemington School.

Operating normal hours from 8am to 4pm as follows:

  • Monday & Tuesday : Elsthorpe and Argyll Halls
 
Mobile Employment Hubs

Central Hawke's Bay Museum - FREE ENTRY

Open from 10-4pm daily (closed public holidays).
