Hearings to Begin On Central Hawke's Bay Annual Plan

Central Hawke’s Bay District Council released its 2019/20 Annual Plan Consultation Document for consultation with the Central Hawke’s Bay Community from 18 March 2019.

The Annual Plan Consultation document was made available for the community for feedback, review and consultation with submissions closing on Friday 12 April.

Council received 134 submissions from individuals and groups and has been busy collating all of the information received as part of the consultation. Council would like to take the opportunity to acknowledge the time people took in providing valuable feedback on our Annual plan.36 people or groups are expected to present their feedback to Council at a Submission Hearing on 9 May at 9am in the CHB Municipal Theatre in Waipawa. The Deliberations Meeting is scheduled to take place at 9am on 23 May the CHB Municipal Theatre. Members of the public are welcome to attend.

“Transparency and community engagement have been a pivotal part of how myself and councillors have been leading Central Hawke’s Bay District Council over the past 2 years. It is exciting to see so many people willing to share their views and to participate in our decision making process,” says Mayor Walker.

Council is expected to adopt the 2019/20 Annual Plan on 20 June 2019.
