The CHB District Council asked the questions and you answered!
“A proud and prosperous district with strong communities, and connected citizens, who respect and celebrate nature” is the strong message that came through from the conversations with various Central Hawke’s Bay communities, as part of Project Thrive.
The Central Hawke’s Bay Blueprint Consultation Outcomes Report is now available (see Related Documents below) and provides a summary of the outcomes of 13 consultation sessions including local communities, iwi, community leaders, Councillors and Council staff. We encourage you to access the documents and have a read.
The outcomes of the consultation will inform the Long Term Plan and District Plan Review, and other Council/ community initiatives – this is our collective opportunity to make a difference.
We look forward to involving the community with the next two phases of consultation which will reflect the key themes and priorities you told us through the thrive process.
Phase One: Long Term Plan
The Long Term Plan is reviewed every three years and the next plan (LTP 2018-2028) comes into effect on 1st July 2018. Formal consultation will be undertaken by Council in late 2017 and early 2018.
Phase Two: District Plan Review
The draft District Plan will be available for public consultation by 31 October 2018.
We want you to thrive and look forward to sharing more information as developments unfold.
