Rubbish collection days including beaches and commercial properties. Where can I buy a rubbish bag? Read on to find out!
Residents are advised to place green and yellow rubbish bags and the Council recycling crates to the kerb by 7.30am on their usual day of collection.
Bags can be purchased through the following outlets: ( there are two sizes of bag, both 10kg maximum weight)
This also includes the cost of collection on rubbish days.

Persons dumping rubbish are in breach of Central Hawke's Bay District Council Solid Waste Bylaw. There is a maximum fine of up to $20,000 for anyone convicted of an offence under this Bylaw.

Your rubbish collection day is every Sunday afternoon
Bags should be left outside the property on the kerb / roadside before 4.00pm.
Your rubbish collection day is normally every Monday
Bags should be left outside the property on the kerb / roadside before 7.30am.
Your rubbish collection day is every Thursday
Bags should be left outside the property on the kerb / roadside before 10.00am on Thursdays and 3.00pm on Sundays
Commercial properties will receive a service similar to residential properties. If commercial properties produce more waste, then they will have to make private collection or disposal arrangements. Collection days are the same as for residential collections.
