Art Deco Walk of the Hastings CBD - ADF18

Art Deco Walk of the Hastings CBD - ADF18

Join Hawke’s Bay historian and author Michael Fowler for a guided Art Deco tour around the Hastings CBD. His tour views some spiffing examples of Art Deco buildings that Hastings built after the 1931 Hawke’s Bay Earthquake.

Included as part of the tour are dramatic stories of how the 1931 Hawke’s Bay Earthquake affected Hastings – including some remaining earthquake scars of the event.

The tour takes around 70 minutes. (Two of his Art Deco and earthquake books are available for purchase after the tour for a special tour price of $15 for both books.)
