Apprentice Support Workshops gain national interest.

20220601 Apprentice

Jobs in Central Hawke’s Bay facilitate a weekly Apprentice Support Workshop at Te Huinga Wai – the Knowledge & Learning Hub in Waipukurau. The workshop runs from 4-7pm and is open to any trainees in on-the-job training. Current participants come from building, mechanical, engineering, forestry, early childhood youthwork and other training pathways. The workshops provide a regular time and space to commit to working on the paperwork component of their training. Last week our workshop was joined by national Mayors Taskforce for Jobs Coordinator Emma Anderson, excited at the prospect of replicating this initiative in other rural communities.

For further information or to register your interest in joining the workshop contact our facilitator Jono – 027 312 3384.
