CHB Careers Expo

On Thursday 15 October 2020 the Mayor’s Taskforce For Jobs (MTFJ) in partnership with the Central Hawke’s Bay College hosted the Central Hawke’s Bay Careers Expo.
The purpose of the Careers Expo was to bring together local employers and ITO’s to show case their industry and speak to students and the community about the job and training opportunities available in Central Hawke’s Bay.
Over 40 Employers and ITO’s attended the event held at Central Hawke’s Bay College. Displays were set up which gave attendees an insight into the work each employer does and information about trade apprenticeships was also provided to the students.
Despite the weather, the event saw a range of people come out and walk through the expo with many taking away valuable information to assist them with making decisions for their future.
If you would like further information about Gateway opportunities at the CHB College contact Kim Walker on kimw@chbc.school.nz.
