Drive-Through Vaccination Centre for Central Hawke's Bay this Saturday

Drive through

Following the success of last week’s Super Saturday Vaccination Drive, a follow up clinic has been planned for Saturday 30 October, with further drive-through clinics planned for the coming weeks.

Central Hawke’s Bay District Council is proud to once again be working with the Hawke’s Bay District Health Board and Te Taiwhenua o Tamatea to stand up another drive-through clinic this weekend.

The clinic is available to any person eligible for their first or second shot of the COVID-19 vaccination, and will be held at the Central Hawke’s Bay A&P Showgrounds between 9.30am-4.00pm. Bookings can be made via Bookmyvaccine.nz however drive-ins and walk-ins are encouraged.

Central Hawke’s Bay saw the highest percentage of people by population take part in the vaccination drive at last weekend’s Super Saturday with 941 vaccinations administered across the district in one day.

“I’m absolutely rapt that so many of our people made the effort to get out and get vaccinated for themselves, their whānau, and our community,” said Alex Walker, Mayor of Central Hawke’s Bay.

“But there’s still mahi to do – if you haven’t had your first or second vaccination yet and you’re eligible, here’s your opportunity to get the job done. And if you have – please encourage your networks to get their vaccination. The more of us who are vaccinated, the more protected our people, businesses and economy will be in Central Hawke’s Bay.”

In addition to the Drive-Through clinic, regular weekly spots are available to get vaccinated in Central Hawke’s Bay at the Waipawa Clubrooms in Coronation Park, or at Unichem Waipukurau. Information is available at hbcovidvaccine.nz. People can also go to www.bookmyvaccine.nz or call 0800 28 29 26 to book.
