The Council is reviewing its Solid Waste Management and Minimisation Plan.
The Plan is a community document designed to give effect to Council’s objectives for solid waste management in line with our vision of a proud and prosperous district who respect and protect our environment.
It is important because it acts as a key vehicle for improving the treatment, management and disposal of solid waste across the district. It also serves a purpose of ensuring funding to carry out initiatives with, and within, our communities to educate and to promote waste minimisation awareness.
For this to be successful, the input of affected stakeholders is required on the services provided and our approach to waste minimisation. Therefore, we would like to hear your views on the Plan and the Statement of Proposal.
You can find copies of the Plan and the Statement of Proposal below. Alternatively, copies of the draft Plan and Statement of Proposal are available from the Council office in Waipawa, the Waipawa Library, or the Waipukurau Library.
