Retirement Housing

Council operates retirement housing in the following locations:

Ruahine Place, Waipukurau 20 flats
Wellington Road, Waipukurau 4 flats  - 2 married which will accommodate 2 single, a double or a queen sized bed.  2 single which will accommodate 1 single bed only.
Kingston Place, Waipawa 24 flats

Each flat consists of a kitchen/laundry, living room, 1 bedroom [can hold 2 single beds or 1 double/queen bed] and a bathroom.  The Council maintains the bulding and lawns.  Tenants are expected to keep the small garden around the outside of the flat in a tidy condition.  The Wellington Road flats have a carport however there are no facilities for cars at either Ruahine or Kingston Place.  A waiting list is kept for all areas, although there is a long wait for the Wellington Road flats.
