Services A - Z > Property Maps
A GIS system is used to display, edit and analyse geographic information such as properties, assets (water lines, sewerage system and stormwater drainage), land information, and other information that can be mapped.

Central Hawke's Bay District Council has put a subset of its Geographic Information System (GIS) online. This facility can be used to look up property information such as rates, building consents, resource consents and will provide a map of the property and surrounding areas.
You can also view utility lines - Water, Stormwater, and Wastewater. To view the utilities, look in the Modules panel at the top left of the window and click on Assets.
An aerial photography layer is included but is turned off by default. To turn it on, look in the Layers panel at the left hand side and check the box next to Aerials Photos 2011.
The utilities and aerial photography will only be visible when you are zoomed in on a town or property.
The information can be searched by address, rates assessment number, street name, or place name.
The site has an extensive Help documentation which covers all aspects of its usage.
