What is a Project Informaiton Memorandum (PIM)?

A PIM is a document supplied by the Council containing information or requirements that could affect the construction of a proposed building.

You will need a Project Information Memorandum (PIM) for all building projects.

A PIM can be applied for separately for a fee of $200

OR

Any application for a building consent will automatically generate a PIM.

A PIM will contain information that is known to Council regarding land features that may affect the building design, for example, bentonitic clay, floodable areas or wind zone.

How do I apply?

You will need to complete a Building Consent application form for a PIM. This is also available from the Waipukurau Library and Service Centre in Kitchener Street, Waipukurau or the main Council Office at 32 Ruataniwha Street, Waipawa. You may also phone Council on 06-857-7731 and request that a form be posted to you.

What we need from you

Once you have completed the application you need to forward it to Council either by dropping it into our Waipukurau or Waipawa office or post it to:

PO Box 127
Waipawa 4240

with the appropriate fee.

The application should contain the following.

  • A fee of $200
  • The correct property details, for example legal description and/or valuation number.
