Camping in Public Areas

Central Hawkes Bay District Council in association with the ‘Pourerere Beach Committee' continue to use a system of ‘Pre-Registration Permits' for campers wishing to use designated ‘Beach Camping' sites in public areas at Pourerere Beach.

NO PERSON(s) will be permitted to ‘Beach Camp' at Pourerere Beach without prior ‘Permitted' approval from Council. This applies at all times.

APPLICATIONS for a permit during the period 6 February - 19 December 2009 should be made to Council using this form or by making contact with Council using the contact shown below.

Permits are FREE between this period.

E-mail applications will be accepted at the e-mail address below providing the information below is included.

Applications MUST include:

• Full name of applicant
• Full postal address of applicant
• Contact phone number for applicant
• Dates a site is required for (up to 14 days)
• Mode of camping (e.g. tent, caravan, camper-van etc)
• Number of adults & children in group
