LTCCP 2006 - 2016

We have prepared a 2006 - 2016 Long Term Council / Community Plan as required by the Local Government Act 2002. The plan is the Central Hawke's Bay Community Plan. It sets the direction for Central Hawke's Bay over the next ten years. It replaces the Annual Plan for the 2006/2007 year.

In a first for the world, these forward looking strategic plans are audited by the Office of the Auditor-General to give readers an assurance that they are based on sound assumptions, prudent financial management and consistency. Ernst & Young have audited the full CHB Community Plan on behalf of the Auditor-General. They have issued an unqualified opinion dated 25 June 2006. This Audit Report is available for viewing in Volume One of the Community Plan and is available for download below.

How do I get a copy?

Council adopted the Community Plan is for public consultation on 29 June 2006. The document is available for download below.

You may ask for a copy of either Volume One or the whole Community Plan document to be mailed out to you. Simply call us on 06 857 8060 or email cp@chbdc.govt.nz and we will add you to our mailing list.

The Community Plan is published in the Adobe Reader format. You will need to install the Adobe Reader program on your computer in order to read the Report. If you do not already have the Adobe Reader installed you can download it from the Adobe website.

Due to its size the Community Plan has been broken into sections which are made available for download below:
