Issue Periods

• Books are issued for 3 weeks, magazines are issued for one week.
• Books may be returned after-hours through the slot in the front doors.
• Reservations may be made if the book you wish to borrow is in current use.
• Interloans from other libraries may be requested at a fee ($6)

National Library:
$3.00 Initial Search Fee
$3.00 on delivery of item
($6.00 Total)

From other Libraries:
$6.00 - $24.00 (Fee as imposed by other Library)

Rental Books

Charges are reduced at librarians discretion as books and magazines get older.

Hardbacks	$1.00 cents each
Trade Paperbacks	$0.80 cents each
Paperbacks	$0.70 cents each
Magazines	$0.60 cents each

Other Charges

Video Cassettes& DVDs	$3.00 each then $3.00 for each renewal after one week
Printing	0.30 cents per page greyscale 0.60 cents per page colour
Internet Access / Word Processing	$3.00 per half hour If you phone in and request that staff do an Internet search for you, there will be a $3.00 charge per half hour to cover staff time.
Facsimile	Throughout NZ $1.20 for first page, and 0.20 cents for subsequent pages Australia  $3.00 for first page, and 0.30 cents for subsequent pages Europe/USA  $4.00 for first page, and 0.40 cents for subsequent pages
Photocopying	A4 1 - 50 copies 0.20 cents per single-sided page 0.30 cents per double-sided page A4 Coloured: $1.50 per single sided page Over 50 copies 0.10 cents per single-sided page 0.20 cents per double sided page A3 1 - 50 copies 0.40 cents per page A3 Coloured: $4.00 per single sided page Over 50 copies 0.20 cents per page
Lost Books	Charged at replacement cost (purchase price and GST minus discount, if any, plus 30% administration charge)
Replacement Library Cards	$3.00 each
Genealogy / History Research	$5.00 per half hour plus cost of any information printed out.
Book Covering Service	$2.00 to $3.00 depending on the size of the book.
