Lending and Charges

Issue Periods

  • Books are issued for 3 weeks, magazines are issued for one week.
  • Books may be returned after-hours through the slot in the front doors.
  • Reservations may be made if the book you wish to borrow is in current use.
  • Interloans from other libraries may be requested at a fee ($6)

Rental Books

Charges are reduced at librarians discretion as books and magazines get older.

$3.00 for first page, and 0.30 cents for subsequent pages

Europe/USA

$4.00 for first page, and 0.40 cents for subsequent pages

Lost Books

Charged at replacement cost (purchase price and GST minus discount, if any, plus 30% administration charge)

Replacement Library Cards

$3.00 each

Genealogy / History Research

$5.00 per half hour plus cost of any information printed out.

Book Covering Service

$2.00 to $3.00 depending on the size of the book.
