Lending and Charges

Issue Periods

Books are issued for 3 weeks, magazines are issued for one week.
Books may be returned after-hours through the slot in the front doors.
Reservations may be made if the book you wish to borrow is in current use.
Interloans from other libraries may be requested but fees do apply.
You can access our online services with your borrower number and a pin (check with the libraries to see if you have one)

$7.00 - $24.50 (Fee as imposed by other Library + courier charges)

Rental Books

Charges are reduced at librarians discretion as books and magazines get older.

DVDs	$3.00 - $4.50 per week
Printing	0.20 cents per side of A4 greyscale
Internet Access / Word Processing	Internet access is provided free through the Aotearoa Peoples Network Kaharoa
Facsimile Throughout NZ	$1.20 for first page, and 0.20 cents for subsequent pages
Australia	$3.00 for first page, and 0.30 cents for subsequent pages
Europe/USA	$4.00 for first page, and 0.40 cents for subsequent pages
Photocopying - A4	B & W 1 - 50 copies 0.20 cents per single-sided page 0.40 cents per double-sided page Coloured: $1.50 per single sided page
Photocopying - A3	1 - 50 copies 0.40 cents per page A3 Coloured: $4.00 per single sided page
Lost Books	Charged at replacement cost (purchase price and GST minus discount, if any, plus 30% administration charge)
Replacement Library Cards	$3.00 each
Genealogy / History Research	$5.00 per half hour plus cost of any information printed out.
Book Covering Service	$2.00 to $3.00 depending on the size of the book.
Bond for Temporary Membership	$20.00 (Returned to borrower when membership expires)
Road Code Bond	CHB Libraries no longer hold Road Codes. These can be accessed online at http://www.nzta.govt.nz/resources/roadcode/
