Erecting a Headstone

All headstones must comply with the Cemetery Regulations and Bylaws (a copy may be obtained from the Waipawa Council building on Ruataniwha St - ph +64 6 857 8060 or at the Waipukurau Service Centre Office – ph +64 6 858 8195). 

You need to fill out an application for erection or renovation of a headstone or plaque with a diagram of the headstone showing dimensions and materials.  Once the application is processed a permit will be made available from the Waipukurau office.
