Eligibility to Stand

To be eligible to stand for election a candidate must be:

• Enrolled as a parliamentary elector anywhere in New Zealand
• A New Zealand citizen

Eligibility for Voting

All resident and non-resident ratepayer electors whose name appear on the electoral rolls are eligible to vote in their local authority elections.
