This is the first District Plan for the Central Hawke's Bay District, prepared under the Resource Management Act 1991. The purpose of the District Plan is to assist the Council to carry out its functions in order to achieve the purpose of this Act. The Council's main functions are, in summary, to:
Because of its size the District Plan has been broken up into sections and is published in the Adobe Reader format. You will need to install the Adobe Reader program on your computer in order to read the Plan. If you do not already have the Adobe Reader installed you can download it from the Adobe website.
