CASHIER / RECEPTIONIST

This is an important front line position in our busy Waipawa office providing our customers with the first point of contact with the Council.  The successful candidate will be a self starter with a pleasant personality, able to work under pressure with a smile.

We’re looking for an individual who has the following skills:

  • Relevant experience in processing of cash and cheque payments, recording of transactions, issuing of receipts and daily balancing
  • Competency with Microsoft and NCS software applications
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Experience in dealing with a wide range of people
  • A strong focus on customer service
  • Telephone and reception experience
  • General administration
  • A sense of humour and enjoys working in a team environment
  • Energy, enthusiasm and a positive attitude
  • Initiative
  • Current drivers licence

This position is advertised as full time, but has potential as a job share situation.
