CHBDC Elections

Central Hawke's Bay District Triennial Local Authority Elections

These are held for territorial local authorities - district and city councils, regional councils and district health boards - throughout New Zealand every three years and are conducted by postal vote.

The statutes that govern these elections are:

  • The Local Electoral Act 2001
  • The Local Electoral Regulations 2001
  • The Local Government Act 2002
